Gyprock!

Happy to say that the gyprocking on our house started today :)
Can wait till we drive by tomorrow!!

Pre-Wiring..

Yes, the bricks are finally complete and the electrician is in.. couldn't be happier! :)
After signing off on the addition of a few more lights, powerpoints and suprise features the electricial team got to work yesterday (and some more today) to do all the pre-wiring set-up.
Apparently he is booked to come back in about 6 weeks to do the finishing touches (powerpoints, light fittings and switches etc...) Sounds like a lot is going to happen in the next month!

Water, Gas & Bricking update

Last night I decided that we should really invest in a torch! I snuck inside our fence, but with all the brick work going up, the streetlight doesn't shine through as much anymore.. its an accident waiting to happen.. if Im going to keep doing this in the dark, really need a torch hehe..
After tripping over a few random things, in the dark I could just make out all the water and gas pipes in place running throughout the house - was good to see, or almost see... next on the list is the electrician. He's meant to be coming this week (assuming the rain goes away for a little bit)..

Bricks... 95% complete!!

The Roof is On!

We went for a quick visit on the long weekend to see if our roof was completed and it was!! The sarking was also in, and we are happy with the final product - a nice black shiny sambucca roof!
We were also happy to see that our bricky was working over the long weekend - looking forward to seeing how much work he got done on our next drive by :)

Tiles & Bricks

Yesterday our roof tiles were delivered.. onto our neighbours land. Hopefully they get put up quickly as we know our neighbour is going to start work in the next 2 weeks.
We chose the waverly tile in Sambucca..

As for the bricks, well they are happening slowly but surely.. there is only one guy doing the whole house at the moment - some more photo's below..
